In this class, you will:

  • Learn the best method to cut faux fur
  • Learn which stitches work the best for puppet building
  • Design & develop your own character using a custom puppet pattern designed by R&G!
  • Learn basic puppeteering techniques!

Ragmop, Goose, and our puppet family will guide you through the process step-by-step! By the end of the day, you will get to take home a fully developed puppet that YOU built!

ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED
Choose from a variety of colors in faux furs, eyeballs, pupils, mouths, tongues, noses and more! All you need to bring is your lunch! (You’re welcome to bring your own faux fur if there is a specific color you had in mind. Please make sure it is at least 36in x 36in.

ALL TOOLS PROVIDED
Hot glue guns, x-acto knives, scissors, clippers, rulers, etc! *For safety reasons, please only sign up for this class if you are able to use these tools unsupervised*

✦ Cancellations within 21 calendar days prior to the workshop, as well as no-shows, will be non-refundable.

✦ If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to a friend or loved one.

✦ If you need to reschedule to a future date within 21 days of the class, please email us as soon as possible. We have to handle these situations on a case by case basis to try to refill your spot and ensure there's an open spot available. 

✦ In the event we need to cancel the workshop or we do not meet the minimum student requirement to host a class, all customers are entitled to a full refund or credit for a future class.

We understand that life happens and plans can change, and we'll always do our best to work with you when that happens.

We wish we could refund every request when these things come up, but a lot of time and money goes into prepping for these workshops and that makes cancellations and reschedules a bit challenging. We want to provide context to our refund policy in hopes it can help clarify why it has to be so strict. 

One 8 hour workshop is actually a 3 day event for us; since we are renting the classroom for 1 day, we both spend the whole day prior packing all of our supplies, tables & chairs, loading them in cars, and setting them up at the class. Immediately after class, we have to pack everything back up and bring it home. The next day, we put our cloning lab back in order so that we can resume our regular puppet making. 

We do our best to keep these workshops affordable and small so that each student can receive personable, hands-on guidance. In addition to our time, we have a day rate to cover the venue space, cost of gas, parking, restocking materials for every class, equipment repairs or replacements, etc., so we have a minimum requirement of seats to fill to make it viable for us to continue hosting.

When a seat gets booked, we turn down others who are interested, and they may go on to make other plans. As the date draws closer, it gets more challenging to refill those seats. We have found it especially challenging to refill seats if a cancellation or reschedule request occurs within 21 days of the class. At times, we've had multiple people cancel or reschedule the same date simultaneously. We've gone from having all 8 spots filled for weeks, to suddenly having to find 4 new people in under a week, unable to fill them all. Any seat unfilled means a loss of revenue for our small business.

With all of that said, we hope you can work with us equally as much as we promise to work with you if life throws any surprises our way. We kindly ask that you sign up for the class if you know without a doubt you can attend, and reserve any last minute cancellation or reschedule requests for emergencies only.

Ultimately, our goal has been and always will be to provide a fun experience for everyone and spread the love of puppetry, whether you are a puppet enthusiast or simply puppet-curious! :)
