Here are some commonly asked questions I receive about my shop!
DO YOU DO CUSTOM PUPPETS?
Although we're not open for custom commissions right now, you can join our waiting list and when we're ready to take on custom orders, we will reach out to you in the order your name was submitted!
Commissions start at $200 + shipping. Pricing varies depending on materials, details, and size of puppet. We can do a free consultation to get an idea of the puppet you are looking for and we'll give you a custom quote!
A PUPPET I WANTED GOT ADOPTED, CAN YOU MAKE ANOTHER ONE?
YES! If you wanted Zigzag or Pinky or any puppet who has already been up for adoption, I can make more litters of those characters.*
*Every now and then, I create an exclusive puppet that will be adoptable once. These will be marked with a ✱ on their adoption profile.
To help give me an idea for the demand on certain characters, you can mark your favorite in this form.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU MAKE NEW PUPPET LITTERS?
About once or twice a month!
Each puppet, from purchasing materials, hand-sewing, photographing, promoting online, packaging, etc. can take up to 20+ hours in total. The weeks that I am making them are quite intense, so I like to take a break in between litters to clear my head and work on some other projects!
HOW MUCH DOES A PUPPET COST? / WHY DOES IT COST SO MUCH?
Prices currently start around $100 and vary depending on the cost of material and level of detail added, however, I do plan on increasing the prices with each litter I create.
These puppets are truly a labor of love and I put so much care into every step of the process to make it fun for you! The work I put in goes far beyond simply sewing fur together - Gus and I brainstorm character quirks & video concepts, I spend hours prepping the listings in my shop, and even more time filming & editing the introduction skits.
My goal is to make puppetry attainable to everyone, so I do want to try to keep them as affordable as I can! But I also have to keep the time I spend into consideration to ensure I'm still able to make a decent living and cover my expenses.
CAN I PRE-ORDER A PUPPET?
At this time, I'm not taking pre-orders on puppets. I don't want to overwhelm myself with orders and end up feeling like I can't keep up. For now, it works best for me to make them first then list them for adoption.
If I'm able to take pre-orders in the future I will definitely announce it!
WHAT ABOUT A STANLEY PUPPET?
There are handful of characters that I do not plan to reproduce simply because they are very special to me & Gus.
Stanley, Spaghetti, Walnut, Tuna, Chi Chi, Cha Cha, And Turkey are all puppets that I intend to keep original to our brand. Gus and I see them as pieces of ourselves and the hearts of our little puppet family - so the thought of making copies of them doesn't feel right.
BUT - there will be merchandise available for these characters, including stuffed plushies!
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Yes, I do! :) Your shipping will be calculated after you check out.
✷ AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND: ✷ Unfortunately, there is currently a block on parcels from the US, so I'm afraid I can't ship there just yet! But I'm keeping my eye on the situation!
HOW DOES THE EARLY ACCESS ON PATREON WORK?
Each of my patrons get early access to every shop update! I close my shop down, give my patrons a password and they're able to shop 30 minutes before it opens to the public.
Any tier gets you early access, including Stanley's Tip Jar for only $1 a month!
Beyond early access, I also share BTS videos of how Gus & I film puppet videos, unseen process footage of how I make certain products, props and/or puppets, weekly newsletters, monthly sketchbook tours, digital gifts, snail mail and more! Patreon is truly the only place on the internet where I really put it all on the table and "show how the sausage is made".
Supporting me on Patreon also helps fund both my personal and business expenses so that I can continue to create new products, puppets, and fun content for you to enjoy!

DO YOU TEACH ANY CLASSES, WORKSHOPS, OR HAVE TUTORIALS ON PUPPET MAKING?
I don't currently offer anything like this, but that doesn't mean I don't have interest in it in the future!
I am a novice puppet maker myself, so I am still learning new techniques every day. If you are wanting to dip your toes in the puppet fabrication world, I highly recommend watching Adam Kreutinger's youtube videos. He's incredibly talented and his videos are VERY informative!
What I aim to teach in the meantime with the work I share is that puppeteering can be a wonderful gift to help you learn to embrace parts of yourself you may feel embarrassed by. (Because this has been my experience with puppetry.)
Gus and I create the character quirks and film the videos to give you a jump start if it's something you struggle with - but truly, you're free to create new personas and quirks that feel connected to you!
CAN I MAKE MY OWN STANLEY/SPAGHETTI/ZIGZAG/ETC.?
I love seeing people inspired by all of these little babies and getting the art-making bug themselves! That's the whole point of what I'm doing. :) Fan art makes me giddy and I am totally okay with you pulling inspiration from our characters. I myself pull inspiration from many different sources (IE: Jim Henson, Mr. Rogers, Peewee's Playhouse, etc.)
While I encourage you to follow that inspiration, I do ask that you do not copy my work and/or try to share/sell it online and pass it off as your own. If you share any sort of fan art or inspired puppets, please be sure to tag and credit me as the original creator.
My advice as an artist is to experiment and explore! It can be helpful to refer to someone else's work as a reference or starting point for learning a new technique, but don't stop there! Take what you learn and find ways to include your personal little touches to create your own character! What are your favorite colors? What other forms of art or media have influenced you? What memories do you have that you can embed in your work? What's your favorite (or least favorite) thing about yourself? You can also pull inspiration from the people in your life: What's your sibling's favorite genre of music? Where is your family from? Etc. Asking these kinds of questions can help you develop and design your own characters. :)
WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR FABRIC?
I get most of my fur from a local store in the Downtown Los Angeles Fabric District called City Fabric. If you're in the LA area, go support his business! He has a beautiful collection of faux furs and they're much more affordable than commercial stores. (He does not do online orders.)
You can also order supplies and fur from the following websites:
